Pancake Rolls

Pancakes are easy to make and can be customized to suit almost any palate or dietary plan. For this one we used just 3 ingredients to make our batter – no eggs milk or butter- and then served it as rolls with a delicious fish and cabbage filling. Not every time pancakes and syrup. Here’s how:


  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Smoked mackerel
  • Green peppers
  • Ground garlic
  • Ground ginger
  • All spice
  • Black pepper
  • Ground red chilli pepper
  • 1 small Cabbage
  • Onion
  • carrots
  • Salt
  • Seasoning cube



3-Ingredient Pancake Mix

  • Mix dry ingredients together – flour and sugar with pinch of salt
  • Add water till light consistency is achieved and it drips off a spoon
  • Pour mix in lightly oiled pan, low heat, and fry until dry and browning on both sides



  • Put some oil in sauce pan and fry onions
  • Add green bell peppers
  • Put in shredded fish
  • Season with chillis, all spice, salt and seasoning cubes
  • Add cabbage to fish sauce and leave to cook until cabbage gets slightly transluscent



  • Lay fish about 1cm away from edge of pancake
  • Tuck in edges and roll
  • Cut to size and hold in place with toothpicks
  • Drizzle honey or syrup over it (optional)



FISH– rich in Omega 3 acid, protein, source of vitamin b-12

CARROTS– promotes healthier skin, Anti-aging, anti-cancerous, prevents heart disease

CABBAGE– anti-aging, system cleansing, anti-inflammatory, good for ulcers, folic acid

ONIONS– Anti inflammatory, aids digestion, good for eyes, ears and oral health, fights cancer.
