Chef Tosan, the African Cake Maestro, began his pastry journey almost 2 decades ago in 2001 after returning from the UK. He was not just ahead of his time, but he solely helped define the cake industry in Nigeria by setting high professional standards and immense creative process to his work. He has inspired a lot of entrepreneurs and also personally trained them as well.
He runs the following brands: Cakes by Tosan, a luxury cake brand, Celebrations by Tosan, Topcrust Bakery, and Cupcakes by Tosan
Known for designing some of Nigeria’s most iconic cakes and winning several awards, most especially the Guinness world record for making the “Tallest Cake in Africa,” Chef Tosan has taken to bread-making, and is currently the President of the Premium Bread makers Association of Nigeria (PBAN). He is also the Managing Director of Top crust Bakeries.
Apart from being in the cake making business, Chef Tosan owns a restaurant/ Café Le Saison and a training school. Le Saison was born out of the idea of wanting to create an eating place that would give people a sense of lifestyle and a dining experience. The refectory serves as a café during the day and a restaurant at night. He is also the author of a cookbook, Sugar Icing
